As a part of our yearly goals process, we all must stop every 90 days, to learn from what is past, focus on what is important and relaunch into what still needs to be done.
This 3 step process is REFLECT - REFOCUS - RELAUNCH
When we reflect, it is imperative that we do so in a way that gives us feedback that we can use going forward. We must ensure we do not park ourselves for too long in "reflection", searching for further evidence that will reinforce our negative opinion of ourselves, rather celebrating our wins and making a list of what needs doing.
Now that we have a clear picture of our current situation, we must "refocus" on the reason for setting our goals in the first place, setting our priorities back in order and inspiring ourselves and our team to take massive action over the next leg of the journey. Remember to only move the completion dates on your unfinished tasks and not throw out the baby with the bathwater.
Now that we have a "revised" game plan and a re-focused team of players, we must re-launch into the next 30 - 60 days, putting in the required effort that will see us gain the momentum required to reach or exceed our targets. The reflect and refocus process has laid the foundation required to propel us in the right direction.
